News Flash!!! The Porter County Builders Association is once again taking the lead in public education by offering the "Living Green Expo" on Saturday, 11.15.08, from 10 am - 5 pm, and Sunday, 11.16.08, from 12 noon until 5 pm. This first ever event is being held at the Legacy Banquet Hall, 1356 W. Lincolnway, Valparaiso, and Mayor Jon Costas will be cutting a ribbon to kick-off the show at 9:45 am Saturday.
The show will feature energy-saving, sustainable, green vendor displays including an electric-generating windmill, geothermal heating and cooling systems, and other "green" technologies. Free seminars will be offered every hour with tips on how to save energy now and in the future, what is "green building", responsible planning for our changing energy future, as well as many other "green" topics.
Admission is $3.00 per person with $1.00 off if you bring a food item for donation to a local food pantry. This is a show you won't want to miss if you want to be fully informed about where our nation is heading on the energy front.
