Since 1954 Kent Heating and Air Conditioning has been providing for much of Northwest Indiana's indoor comfort and energy-efficiency needs.  Allen Kent is the second generation owner of the family-owned business, founded by parents Jim and Norma Kent, which employs 25 professionals he is very proud of.  Anyone who knows Allen understands his commitment to doing the job right the first time, and delivering some of  the most advanced and efficient comfort and indoor air quality systems in the nation.  He has been a national speaker on various indoor air quality topics, and loves to test (and repair!) homes and businesses to deliver the lowest utility bills, cleanest air, and most comfortable indoor environments available.

The Company is a member of the Greater Valparaiso and Hobart Chambers of  Commerce, ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America), a charter member of Comfort Institute (www.comfortinstitiute.org), and maintains an active membership in the Porter County Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.

Since 1993 (and once again in 2007!), Kent Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. has received the prestigous Lennox Centurion Award for Dealer Excellence. The Centurion is now awarded to the top 1% of Lennox Dealers in each of the three North America sales regions.  Kent Heating has also earned the "Lennox Premier Dealer" designation since the program inception, which recognizes Lennox dealers that exhibit superior customer satisfaction ratings.

Kent Heating and Air was awarded the Governor's Half Century Award by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels and Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman in a ceremony at the State Capitol in January, 2006.

The Company is very involved in local charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together-Valparaiso (formerly Christimas in April), Opportunity Enterprises, Fraternal Order of Police "Shop with a Cop" and "Thanksgiving Baskets", and various other projects.
